ANGOLA: Launch of 'knowledge and research' portal

The Ministry of Science and Technology has launched a 'knowledge and research' portal, accessible to the public, on which postgraduate works may be logged, researchers can contact one another, and academic and scientific information will be published.

The portal (accessible at www.conhecimento.gov.ao) is a joint project of the ministry and the university sector, "with the aim of building an informed society", said the Angola Press Agency of Luanda. The agency said it would also serve to bring together researchers "regardless of their geographical situation, creating a forum for discussion [and] a library for in-depth research".
